NOAA Weather Report for Morganton
Easter Burke Weather provided by WR4AY

I urge each and every ARES member to take the National Incident Management System (NIMS) training as quickly as possible. You can go Here to take all of the Incident Command System (ICS) Classes. Most Organizations are requiring us to have ICS 100, 200, 700 and I'm hearing soon they will be adding 800. If you complete any of these classes, please e-mail me the certificate so I can register those with the District Coordinator for Area 13. Your Cooperation is appreciated very much.

Thank You,
Greg Branch
Burke County EC

The Burke Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications duty in the public service. Every licensed amateur is eligible for membership in the BARES organization. The only qualification you must have is the possession of an Amateur Radio license. Because ARES is an amateur service, only amateurs are eligible for membership. The possession of emergency-powered equipment is desirable, but is not a requirement for membership.

Active ARES members are amateur radio operators who have completed a BARES registration form. To become an active ARES member, fill out and submit a BARES Registration Form.
